Firefighters are tackling a huge blaze at a construction site where flats are being built.

The fire broke out earlier at the block of flats on Parliament Street in Lancaster.

Six fire engines are at the scene and roads in the area have been closed while Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service deals with the blaze.

The fire service warned people living nearby who could smell or see smoke to keep their windows and doors shut.
