Driver charged after man dies in crash
A driver has been charged with causing the death of a man in a crash.
A black Vauxhall Insignia and a silver Vauxhall Corsa collided on the A605 Wisbech Road near Peterborough at about 20:30 GMT on Saturday.
Cambridgeshire Police said the driver of the Corsa, a 23-year-old man Peterborough, died at the scene in Coates, while a passenger was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, where they remained.
The Insignia driver, Owen Bird, 45, from March, sustained minor injuries and has since been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
Mr Bird is expected to appear at Cambridge Crown Court on 20 January.
Officers are urging anyone who witnessed the collision, saw any of the vehicles in the moments leading up to it, or anyone who has relevant dashcam footage to get in touch.
