Supercars used by 'reckless' drivers to block M11
Police are hunting "reckless" supercar drivers who blocked a motorway to stage high-speed races.
Lamborghinis, two Rolls Royces and a Maserati were among the luxury vehicles involved on the M11 near Theydon Bois on 29 December.
Essex Police said the cars were seen "swerving across lanes" and blocking them with their hazard lights on at about 13:30 GMT.
Appealing for information, roads policing officer Will Willsher said: "Our roads are not playgrounds and dangerous driving kills."
It was suspected the blocking manoeuvres were done to allow racing on the northbound carriageway ahead.
Further incidents were reported later on the same day near Harlow.
Police said Audi RS models and a Mercedes were also involved.
Sgt Willsher added: "Clearly this presents a danger to other road users and we are determined to deal with these reckless drivers.
"At this stage my appeal is for anyone whose memory is jogged around the dates, times and circumstances of this driving, to come forward."
