Man charged with GBH following Swindon stabbing

A man has been charged in connection with a stabbing which left another man with facial injuries.

Swindon Police said officers were called to Temple Street in the centre of Swindon on Friday afternoon.

Since the incident Paul Bruce, 42, of Bowman Street, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm.

After appearing at Swindon Magistrates' Court today, he was remanded in custody to appear at the town's crown court on 4 April.

The victim was taken to hospital, and a police cordon was in place at the scene for several hours on Friday afternoon.
