Cyclist in life-threatening condition after crash

An 81-year-old man is in hospital with serious injuries following a crash involving a car and a bike in Bridlington.

Humberside Police said a cyclist and a black Chevrolet Captiva collided on the A165 Scarborough Road at the junction of Grindale Lane at about 12:00 BST on Monday.

The cyclist's injuries were thought to be life-threatening, the force said.

Officers have appealed for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage of the incident to get in touch.
