An organisation has appealed for volunteers to help organise an arts festival in Shropshire.

The event, named Live Arts, is part of the annual Wenlock Olympian Games and will hold competitions in dance, music, speech and drama.

It will be hosted during two weekends in March and is aimed at people under the age of 18.

From helping with car parking and acting as a steward to writing certificates and providing technical support, Wenlock Olympian Society said there was lots to get involved in.

The society added that hundreds of children from around Shropshire were expected to take part in the festival.

Winners are awarded Wenlock Olympian gold, silver, and bronze medals, and also cash prizes.
