Man arrested after reports of an individual armed with a large knife

A man has been arrested in County Tyrone after reports that an individual armed with a large kitchen knife had smashed the windows of a vehicle.

The incident happened on Roskeen Close, in Moygashel, shortly before 21:10 BST.

The 51-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of offences including criminal damage and possession of article with blade or point in a public place.

The suspect remains in police custody. The police have appealed for information.
