School closed for two days over cyber incident

A secondary school in Cornwall will be closed for two days next week due to a "cyber incident".
Richard Lander School in Truro said on Facebook an issue had affected its IT systems, but there was "no evidence that personal data has been compromised".
It said an investigation was ongoing and it would be closed to students on Monday and Tuesday following advice from Truro City Council.
The school said: "Currently, the cyber incident means the school has very limited access to the data which it holds. As a result, this could affect the ability of the school to function and to offer appropriate safeguarding to students."
The school said it was working with the council to ensure it had "the right support and expertise available to properly assess the situation" and it would update parents on Tuesday on plans for the rest of the week.
