An investigation into the leak source has been launched

A suspected oil leak in a Herefordshire river is being investigated.

Environment Agency (EA) officers were called to the River Lugg, close to the New Lugg Bridge, Leominster, after getting reports of pollution being seen in the water.

Staff deployed booms and pads to contain the leak and are now trying to establish the source of the problem.

An EA spokesperson thanked the public for "making us aware of the pollution".
