Investigation launched after man stabbed in town centre

A man has been stabbed in a West Sussex town centre, according to police.

The 22-year-old sustained injuries to his hand and leg in the incident in Curteys Walk in Crawley between 21:30 and 22:30 GMT on Thursday.

Sussex Police said he was assaulted by three suspects and have described it as an "isolated incident".

The victim was taken to hospital for medical treatment for his injuries.

The force said it had increased patrols in the area to provide reassurance.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
