Police have issued a CCTV image of a man they want to question following a suspected arson at a commercial unit.

More than 50 firefighters spent more than two hours tackling the blaze at premises off Eastern Road, Aldershot, in the early hours of New Year's Day.

Police closed local roads and residents were advised to keep doors and windows shut due to smoke.

Detectives said the incident, which badly damaged the unit and four cars, was being treated as arson following inquiries.

Det Con Andy Robinson said: "This was a fire that caused a substantial amount of damage, as well as disruption to the local community.

"As part of our inquiries, we would like to identify the man in the CCTV image.

"He was seen at the commercial unit at the time of this incident.

"We know the image is not of the greatest quality but if you recognise him, or have any other information about what happened, then please contact us."
