Man arrested on suspicion of terrorism offences

A man from Stoke-on-Trent has been arrested on suspicion of terrorism offences.

The 28-year-old was held on suspicion of supporting a proscribed organisation and inciting racial hatred, Staffordshire Police said.

Officers said he was detained following a pre-planned, intelligence-led operation.

He was arrested on Wednesday, the force said.
