Guildford wildfire was 'accidental', brigade says

A wildfire that swept through land near Guildford in Surrey has been put out, and was caused by accident, firefighters say.
Ten fire crews were sent to deal with the blaze, which broke out at about 16.20 BST in the Sandy Lane area on Monday.
It broke out in fields next to Piccards Farm House, but no buildings were damaged.
Surrey Fire and Rescue Service said on Tuesday that the fire had been put out.

In a statement, it said: "We left the scene at approximately 07:46am this morning, following a reinspection.
"The fire was confirmed as accidental."
