Relatives or friends of a man who recently passed away are being asked to contact a council so that his funeral can be arranged.

City of Wolverhampton Council's Court of Protection team has put out the appeal to help trace anyone who knew David Francis Phillips.

The 73-year-old had been living in Wolverhampton for many years before his passing. The council said it made appeals of this nature as it believes loved ones should be given the opportunity to be involved with funeral arrangements.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call Protection and Funerals Officer Elaine Thursfield on 07771 836846.
