A 36-year-old man who was fatally stabbed in north London has been named as Gregory Castillo Volquez.

The father-of-two, who was originally from the Dominican Republic, died after reports of a fight at an address on Tiverton Road, Haringey, at 04:55 GMT on Monday.

Despite the efforts of paramedics and London's Air Ambulance, Mr Volquez died at the scene.

The Metropolitan Police said three men and one woman were arrested on suspicion of murder. They remain in custody.

Police said Mr Volquez's next of kin had been informed and were being supported by specialist officers.

A post-mortem examination is due to take place on Thursday.

"In the early hours of Monday morning, two children tragically lost their father," said Det Insp Jim Barry.

"We recognise this is a worrying time for those in Haringey and residents can expect to see more police in the area while we conduct our inquiries."

The Met appealed for anyone with any information to come forward, particularly anyone with mobile phone footage from around the surrounding area.
