School extends staff parking with demolition plan
GoogleA school has been given permission to demolish a former caretaker's bungalow to make room for more staff car parking.
Wodensfield Primary School in Woden Avenue, Wolverhampton, was said in planning documents to be suffering from "congested" parking, and the scheme would improve "access, safety and circulation".
Landscaping work will be carried out once the buildings have been demolished and care would be taken during works to protect nesting birds, badger, hedgehog, amphibians, and bats, documents stated.
The council approved the application on Thursday.
A garage and shed will also be knocked down under the plans, and new fencing and hedges put up around the expanded car park.
