Paedophile pretended to be teen boy to lure victim
A paedophile who pretended to be a teenage boy to lure a 13-year-old girl into meeting him before he went on to rape her has been jailed.
Chris Wearing, 42, pretended he was 16 as he arranged to meet the girl at a railway station, then took her to his home where he carried out his attack, Lancashire Police said.
He was described by police as a "dangerous offender" who was a "deceitful and perverted individual".
Wearing, now of no fixed address but formerly of Accrington, pleaded guilty to all eight offences and was given a 15-year jail term.
Wearing groomed the girl on the social media platform Wink and then Kik messenger where he turned the communication sexual in nature and told her he liked to see women get punched during intercourse, police said.
Wearing talked the victim through the process of booking a train ticket to Church and Oswaldtwistle station, where he met her.
He then took her to his Accrington home and raped and sexually assaulted her, police said.
The victim's mother tracked her daughter's phone to Wearing's address and rang it.
Police said the phone call panicked Wearing and he threw the victim out of the address via the back door, telling her to climb over a fence so that her mum did not find his address.
He then blocked his victim from his social media.
Wearing was arrested and subsequently charged with sexual offences including rape, two counts of sexual assault and meeting a girl under 16 years of age following grooming.
Det Con Emma Millward said: "Wearing is a deceitful and perverted individual with a sexual interest in children.
"Wearing not only groomed his victim, he also went to great lengths to facilitate his crimes and then cover them up."
As well as his jail term, Wearing was also placed on the sexual offenders register indefinitely and is subject to a sexual harm prevention order.
