Police are appealing for information after a knifepoint robbery in Kingsbridge.

Devon and Cornwall Police said a man entered Morrison's Daily on Fore Street at about 21:55 BST on Tuesday, wielding a penknife and demanding money from staff.

The man, described as a white male in his 30s and about 6ft (1.8m) tall, was wearing a black face mask to obscure his identity, detectives said.

They said the suspect left the shop on foot "within a couple of minutes", taking a bottle of wine with him.

Acting Det Sgt Emilie Howes said: "The direction of travel that he took is still being looked into, but we are urging anyone who was in the area and has access to footage of any kind which may help us, to please get in touch."
