Woman dies in hospital days after house fire

Emergency services were called to Coast Road, Walcott, early on Saturday

A woman in her 80s seriously injured in a house fire in a seaside village has died in hospital.

Emergency services were called to Coast Road in Walcott at about 04:20 BST on Saturday.

Norfolk Police said a man in his 80s is still being treated for his injuries.

The force said it was treating the blaze as unexplained.

"A cordon is still in place at the property and investigations are being carried out to establish the circumstances which led up to the fire alongside Norfolk Fire and Rescue and partners," a spokesperson added.
