Two men have died and two others have been injured after a car crashed into a tree.

A Vauxhall Astra left the carriageway of the A413 at Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire, at about 06:55 GMT on Thursday.

Thames Valley Police said two men, one in his 50s and another in his 20s, died at the scene.

The driver and a further passenger were taken to hospital with minor injuries, and police said no arrests had been made.

They wanted to hear from another driver of an "unconnected vehicle" who they said "may also have lost control at the same location" after the fatal collision.

Lead investigator Richard Thorpe appealed for anyone with information, such as dashcam footage, to come forward.
