Motorway reopens after lorry strikes bridge
A stretch of a motorway in Kent has reopened after a lorry struck a bridge.
The southbound M20 in Kent was closed between junctions eight at Hollingbourne and nine at Ashford.
Kent Police and officers from National Highways attended the scene after the crash in the early hours of Monday morning.
The road reopened at about 11:00 GMT on Monday.
A diversion route was in place via the A20 during the closure.
National Highways said plans to allow traffic caught within the road closure to leave the area were used.
Specialist equipment was required to clear the carriageway.
