A student accommodation building in Belfast has been evacuated after a fire.

The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) received reports of a fire at the Student Roost building shortly before 12:30 GMT on Sunday.

Five fire appliances, two cars and an aerial appliance attended the building on Great Patrick Street.

Firefighters using breathing apparatus entered the building and extinguished the fire. The cause is not known and there were no casualties.

Residents have been rehoused in different accommodation.
