Wolves coaching placements under university deal

Students will be offered placements at Wolves in areas including football coaching and sports science, in an extension to their partnership with the city's university.
The Premier League club has helped hundreds, including placements leading to full-time roles, under the arrangement with the University of Wolverhampton.
The university will still be the women's first team training kit sponsor as part of the partnership with the club, which was agreed for another two years.
The deal will see students take on placements at Wolves in areas including strength and conditioning, journalism and marketing.
The collaboration "underscores a commitment" by both organisations to foster a "mutually beneficial relationship between education, football and the city", the university said.
'Such a buzz'
Football coaching lecturer at the university Russel Smith said both had "significant international ambitions and this partnership is helping put Wolverhampton on the world map".
One graduate who has benefitted, Nathan Male, is working full-time at the club as football development officer.
Mr Male graduated in 2021, after studying football coaching and performance, and is now leading on Wolves projects around school programmes.
He said: "Being able to support local coaches as well as helping kids get into the academy to then one day live their dreams of becoming a footballer gives me such a buzz."
