Two seriously injured in A64 sliproad collision

Two drivers have been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a serious collision on the A64 in North Yorkshire.

Two vehicles collided with a black Ford EcoSport which was stationary on the eastbound carriageway of the A64, at the end of the entry slip from the A1036 at Askham, at about 19:30 GMT on Sunday, according to North Yorkshire Police.

A third driver was also treated for minor injuries following the crash, a force spokesperson added.

The A64 eastbound was closed throughout Sunday night while investigation work was carried out at the scene, but reopened at about 10:45 GMT on Monday, they added.

Police asked anyone with any further information about what had happened to get in touch.
