A teenager suspected of dangerously riding an e-bike has been charged following an hour-long police chase around Blackpool.

The 17-year-old boy failed to stop for officers on Central Drive at about 13:28 GMT on Sunday, said Lancashire Police.

The force said that during a pursuit "which included use of the police helicopter and a number of officers on the road", the e-bike entered Stanley Park before returning to the roads.

Police eventually stopped the teenager on New Bonney Street and he was later charged with dangerous driving and failing to stop. He has been bailed to appear before Preston Youth Court on 25 February.
