Police are appealing for information after an assault reportedly took place at the scene of a car crash in Kent.

Witnesses and dashcam footage are being sought by officers following a collision involving a white Ford Ranger and a white Audi A3 on Rochester Road in Cuxton at 21:05 GMT on Saturday.

It is alleged the driver of the Ranger assaulted a man following the incident, before then punching a waiting ambulance.

A 30-year-old, from Chatham, was arrested and later bailed pending further investigation.

A passenger travelling in the Audi was hospitalised with a shoulder injury, said police.

Kent Police is urging anyone who saw the incident, or either vehicle prior to the collision, to get in touch.

Motorists and residents with private CCTV are also asked to check to see if they have any relevant footage.
