Plans for more than 100 new homes in town

Plans have been submitted for more than 100 homes to be built in a North Lincolnshire town.

Two separate applications have been made to North Lincolnshire Council for a total of 114 homes to be built in Crowle, with 81 being labelled as affordable housing.

Hoober Urban Partnerships and Wakefield District Housing have applied for full planning permission for 73 homes at Fieldside Nurseries, near St Norbert's Catholic Primary School.

Hoober Homes has also submitted proposals for 41 homes on land north of Godnow Road, near Crowland Road.

Since the initial outline permission for the Fieldside Nurseries development was agreed in 2022, plans have been revised and all of the properties will be affordable housing instead of just 20%.

There would be 31 two-bed homes, including five bungalows, 41 three-bed, and one four-bed home, according to the Local Democracy Reporting Service.

The site would have a small central park, including a play area, new hedgerow planting and a pond in the south-eastern corner as part of sustainable urban drainage.

The new application for 41 homes to be built on currently vacant former industrial land near Godnow Road includes 11 two-bed, 24 three-bed, and six four-bed properties. Eight homes will be affordable housing.

It would have an area of public space at the heart of the development and would be accessed via a road near the current plant nurseries building.

The council will decide whether to grant permission for the developments at a future meeting.
