Woman, 79, dies after crash near police car park

Police are investigating after a 79-year-old woman died on Christmas Eve following a crash near a car park.

The white Mini Cooper she was driving was the only vehicle involved in the incident on Dumballs Road near the rear car park of Cardiff Bay police station, at 13:40 GMT on Thursday, 19 December.

She was taken to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff and died five days later.

South Wales Police is appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
