Man charged with murdering woman after disturbance

A 50-year-old man has been charged with murdering a woman who died in west London.

Metropolitan Police officers were called on Friday to a property in Jubilee Road, Perivale, after reports of a disturbance.

The 45-year-old woman, identified as Ana Maria Murariu, was found unresponsive and despite efforts by medics to revive her she died at the scene.

Detectives charged Mugurel Nica, also of Perivale, with murder on Saturday. He remains in custody and is due to appear at Willesden Magistrates' Court on Monday.

A post-mortem examination will be held in due course, police added.

Det Insp Richard Kempshall, from the force's Specialist Crime unit, said: "We are continuing to support Ana Maria's family at this difficult time and our thoughts remain with them."
