A festival based around cultural traditions will return to Sark for its third year.

La Beltane festival, which takes place on 3 May, will include traditional events and music.

During the day, donations will be taken for Sark's Professor Saint Fund.

Director Jolie Rose said the event was "expecting to see many returning visitors and for the festival to sell out again".

The event will include a fire procession by burning a large wicker man, and live music from local musicians to celebrate the start of summer.

Russ Fossey, from Guernsey Arts, which is sponsoring the festival, said it was important for the Channel Islands to "connect with its roots".
