A major route in Nottingham has now reopened following a crash.

The A612 Daleside Road East was closed in both directions on Thursday evening, with motorists being forced to divert.

The Colwick Loop Road is now fully open after accident investigation work was completed, according to traffic monitoring system Inrix.

Nottingham City Transport (NCT) had said several of its services were facing "severe disruption" as a result of the crash, which it said happened between the Park & Ride site and Toby Carvery.

The BBC has asked Nottinghamshire Police for more information.
