Girl, 4, in hospital after being hit by car

A four-year-old girl is in hospital after being hit by a car in East Sussex.
Sussex Police said they received reports of a crash between a car and a pedestrian in Lewes Road, Newhaven, at about 16:30 BST on Monday.
The girl was taken to hospital and is receiving treatment for her injuries, according to police.
Anyone who saw the incident or has information is asked to contact the force.
A section of Lewes Road was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident, but has since reopened.
A spokesperson for South East Coast Ambulance said: Ambulance crews were joined by the Air Ambulance Charity Kent, Surrey, Sussex and assessed and treated one patient on scene.
"The patient was then taken by air ambulance to Kings College Hospital for further medical treatment."
