Homes and business plan for used car site

Plans to transform a site which is currently used to store vehicles into 10 new homes and two commercial units have been submitted to Sheffield City Council.
The application, lodged by Deyar Properties Ltd, outlines plans to build two three-storey buildings at the site on Upperthorpe Road, where the Green Gate Motor Company now keeps used cars.
The development would comprise eight one-bedroom and two two-bedroom apartments, along with two ground-floor commercial units.
Planning officers are expected to make a decision on the application by 5 August.
Access to both the residential and retail units would be via Upperthorpe Road, the Local Democracy Service reports.
According to the planning documents, no car parking would be included in the plans due to "the accessibility of the site and its extremely sustainable nature".
