A teenager who died in a crash had "charisma, charm and a zest for life", his family have said.

Max Greenhouse was a passenger in a Vauxhall Corsa that hit a farm building on Fir Tree Lane in Aughton on 11 December, Lancashire Police said.

Three other boys were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

In a statement, the 17-year-old's family said they had been "truly touched" and overwhelmed by the number of tributes from his friends.

They said their "beautiful boy" had "so much charisma and charm with a zest for life", "never a bad word to say about anyone" and was "truly adored by all of your family and friends".

"You will live on forever in our hearts," they said.

"Our hearts are broken [and we] can't believe we will never see your beautiful smiling face again."

The family added that they had been "overwhelmed by the amount of people who knew you even from afar".

"You have had an impact on so many people's lives.

"Sleep tight our precious son and brother."

Lancashire Police have asked anyone with information about the crash to get in touch.
