Dual carriageway closed after serious crash

A dual carriageway was closed in both directions after what police described as a serious crash.

Highways England said multiple vehicles collided on the A45 between Great Doddington and the Great Billing Way junction at Northampton at about 19:15 GMT.

Emergency services including police were at the scene and traffic was being diverted via other routes.

Officers said the road was "likely to remain closed for some time".
