Three people taken to hospital after A38 crash

Three people have been taken to hospital following a crash on the A38 in Devon, police said.

Devon and Cornwall Police said it was called to the eastbound crash at Chudleigh Knighton on Sunday at about 11:10 GMT.

The force said a 31-year-old woman, who was a passenger in one vehicle, was taken to Derriford Hospital with serious injuries which were not thought to be life-threatening or changing.

A man, aged 77, was taken to Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital with minor injuries and a second man, aged 35, was taken to Derriford before being discharged.

The force said the crash involved an orange Nissan Qashqai and a silver Mitsubishi L200.

It said a road closure was in place and was lifted at about 19:20.

Police have asked any witnesses to get in touch.
