A woman has been taken to hospital for treatment after being injured when she was hit by a bus in Leeds city centre.

Emergency crews were called to Vicar Lane, outside the Victoria Quarter, just before 14:00 BST.

The scene remained cordoned off on Monday afternoon as investigations continued, police said.

Vicar Lane was closed between The Headrow and Kirkgate and people were advised to avoid the area.
