Arrest after cars kicked and two people assaulted
A man has been arrested after cars were kicked and two people were punched in the face, police have said.
Officers received a report that a man was kicking and punching cars in an "aggressive manner" on Park Road in Barton, Gloucester, at about 10:35 GMT on 28 January.
Police said a woman was punched after she got out of her car when it was "repeatedly hit". A short time later a man was punched after another man tried to steal his phone in All Saints Road, police added.
A 25-year-old from Gloucester has been released on bail after he was arrested on suspicion of assault, criminal damage, assaulting a police officer and being in possession of cannabis.
"Officers were quickly on the scene and were able to make an arrest," said Inspector Ash Gardner, from Gloucester Neighbourhood Policing Team.
"We would like to reassure the community of Barton and Tredworth that we will not tolerate this type of behaviour.
"We will act swiftly to apprehend anyone who creates fear among the people who live and work in our communities."
