The inquest heard that the three victims lived in Derbyshire

Two adults and a teenage boy who died in a crash on the M5 have been named.

Andrew Moore, 46, Swala Harling, 47, and Sebastian Moore, 14, were killed when their BMW left the northbound carriageway at about 21:00 BST on May 30, between junction 14 at Falfield and junction 13 at Michaelwood services.

Another child was taken to hospital after being seriously injured in the incident.

The inquest on Wednesday, which was opened at Flax Bourton, near Bristol, heard all three lived in Clay Cross near Chesterfield in Derbyshire.

The M5 motorway completely clear of cars in both directions. There are grassy banks and trees on either side. The sky is overcast with areas of blue peeking through.
The motorway was closed while police crash investigators examined the scene

At the time, police closed the route for most of the next day while they examined a "very complex scene".

The coroner's court heard that Mr Moore, who was a mechanic, was driving the car at the time of the crash, with Ms Harling, who worked in IT, in the front passenger seat. Sebastian was sitting in the back of the car.

A full inquest will take place at a date yet to be fixed, once a collision investigation report and medical reports are completed.
