A stretch of a key commuter road has reopened after night-time roadworks overran.

The A417 in Gloucestershire is undergoing major works to amend its layout as part of the Missing Link scheme.

The southbound carriageway of the road between Air Balloon Roundabout, Birdlip, and the A429 Burford Road in Cirencester was due to open at 06:00 BST, but did not reopen until two hours later.

One lane remains shut to allow tarmac to set.
