Man dies in single-vehicle crash

A man has died after the car he was driving crashed in Barnsley on Sunday morning.

Officers were called to reports of a collision involving one car on Hunningley Lane at about 10:00 BST on Sunday, South Yorkshire Police said.

The 52-year-old driver of a black Audi A4 was taken to hospital with serious injuries and later died.

His family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers, police said.
