Hemswell Cliff could get investment to improve its facilities

A village stands to get more than £95,000 to help improve its facilities.

The proposals for Hemswell Cliff, in West Lindsey, will be discussed by the district council on 18 March.

Improvements would include floodlights and an outdoor gym, 15 drop kerbs around the village and the creation of paths suitable for wheelchair users.

A report compiled for the meeting said the village had already seen several rounds of investment, having been considered a "vulnerable rural community" after the Ministry of Defence left an RAF base in 2016.

The report, which recommended approval for the money, said the village had been "under-resourced and at risk of further decline" at the time.

It added: "In 2025, the situation is substantially improved, reflecting the dedication to regeneration by West Lindsey District Council, Hemswell Cliff Parish Council, local partner organisations and residents in this area."
