Man charged with stab murder to face no action

A man charged with murdering a 19-year-old has been released with no further action.

Tawana Choruma was found injured in Station Road, Netley, shortly before 18:30 GMT on 18 December and died at the scene.

Jack Hibberd, 18, of no fixed abode, was previously charged with murder and remanded in custody.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary has since confirmed the case against Mr Hibberd had been "discontinued".

Dominic Adedamole Adeyemi, 18, of Holmes Close in Netley Abbey, was also charged with Mr Choruma's murder and remains remanded in custody.

He is due for trial at Southampton Crown Court on 2 June.

A force spokesperson said an 18-year-old man from Southampton has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery.

The arrest is in connection with the ongoing investigation and the man is in custody.
