A-road closed after crash badly damages barrier

Police have closed a major road after its barrier sustained "significant damage" when several cars collided.

The A47 was shut at King's Lynn, Norfolk between the A148 and A10 Hardwick roundabout on Friday evening.

The eastbound carriageway remained closed on Saturday morning so the multi-car collision could be investigated, National Highways said.

Motorists have been advised to seek alternative routes during the disruption.
