A man who supplied fireworks which were thrown at police during Bonfire Night disorder in Edinburgh has been sentenced to a 10 month restriction of liberty order.

Jordan McMillan must stay in his home between 19:00 and 06:00 during the period of the order as an alternative to prison.

He was previously found guilty of culpable and reckless conduct for providing the fireworks, which were used against police and members of the public on the city's Niddrie Mains Road.

The 24-year-old was arrested as part of a major criminal investigation into the offences that took place between Halloween and Bonfire Night 2024.
