Gavin & Stacey star donates script to charity
A star of Gavin and Stacey has donated a signed copy of the series finale's script to raise money for charity.
Robert Wilfort, who plays Stacey's brother Jason West in the popular BBC show, has given the script to a charity in his hometown of Chesham, Buckinghamshire, as a raffle prize.
Proceeds from the raffle will be donated to The Theatre Shed, an inclusive theatre company bringing disabled and non-disabled children together through singing, dancing and acting.
Gavin and Stacey was first screened in 2007 and about 12.3 million viewers watched the final episode of the series on Christmas Day.
The series tells the story of Gavin, from Billericay, Essex, and his romance with Stacey from Barry, Vale of Glamorgan, and the intertwined lives of their friends and family.
Wilfort, whose raffle has raised more than £18,500 so far through £5 tickets, said: "I'm delighted to donate a copy of the script for the 2024 finale of Gavin and Stacey, signed on the set by all the main cast members and the director, to this raffle."
The winner is being drawn on 13 January.
