Burst pipe leaves homes and businesses without water
Homes and businesses have been left with low water pressure or no supply at all because of a burst pipe.
Thames Water said repairs were under way on Thursday morning to fix the leaking pipe in Islandsmead, Swindon, Wiltshire.
Engineers are aiming to get the water running again within three hours, the utility company said.
A Thames Water spokesperson apologised for the disruption, adding: "We know how inconvenient it is if you lose your water supply, so we’ll work hard to get things back to normal as soon as we can."
They added: "In order to safely and quickly carry out the repair our engineers have shut off water to the pipe.
