Road closure due to roundabout resurfacing work

A busy roundabout will be closed as scheduled repairs take place.

The roundabout in Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset, at the junction of the B3140 and Love Lane, will be resurfaced overnight from 21-28 January.

The road closure will be in place between 18:30 to 23:30 on weekdays only, with the work being carried out by contractors Heidelberg Materials on behalf of Somerset Council.

Councillor Richard Wilkins said: "Our team is doing this work out of peak hours to minimise disruption on this busy road."

"We are extremely grateful to residents and road users for their support and understanding while this work is done," he added.

Access to Tesco and other local businesses will be maintained throughout the work, the council has said.
