Man arrested on suspicion of rape after CCTV appeal
Getty ImagesA man has been arrested on suspicion of rape following a police appeal for information.
Gloucestershire Police said the 33-year-old man was arrested in connection with a rape in Gloucester on Saturday.
Following an appeal for information where the police shared a CCTV image, the suspect was identified.
"We'd like to thank the public for sharing our appeal and particularly to everyone who came forward to help identify the man," said a police spokesperson.
The suspect remains in police custody while enquiries continue.
Anyone with any information that has not yet been shared with officers is asked contact Gloucestershire Police.
