Two people have been taken to hospital after a crash in the early hours of the morning which shut the A75 near Creetown.

Emergency services were called out to the two-vehicle accident at about 02:15.

The Scottish Ambulance Service said it had sent three ambulances and a trauma team to the scene.

It said one person had been taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow and another to Dumfries Infirmary.
